*sniff*

I know we are all going to miss ScrapMommies! I'm so sad to see it go! What a great group of ladies I met there... I hope to stay in touch! :) I'm so excited though, that Amy Bleser has added me to her CT! Yay! I love working with her stuff! As if you couldn't tell that... I actually have done a couple of layouts with her SM kits in the past couple of days before I was added to the team. Not sure if she will add either of these kits to her SSD store or not...

Madison has decided that there is a "reeeeally big liiion" living in our oven door. I'm not sure why, but it is so funny! I wish I could put sound on a page so you could hear how she says it... it cracks me up! We have named him Joe, and we go to visit him at least once per day!

journaling: Madison was watching the Punchinello movie "If Only I Had a Green Nose" and wanted her crayons. I thought she was going to color on paper (natural assumption, right?), but really she wanted to color her nose green! Like Punchinello's! She says "Look Mommy! I have a green nose!"

Have you seen this?

It looks really cool! I love inspirations! I haven't done my layout yet, but totally plan to!

Ooh, I have done a couple of layouts with Ginger's new kits at SOTB too!

I keep scrapping these older photos of Madison! Makes me miss her being a little baby! :)

As a 2 year old, Madison's birthday choices were very un-elegant, so I wanted to pretty up her McDonald's page with pretty swirly papers and fonts!

journaling: Since we had already had your birthday party over the weekend, for your actual birthday we let you pick whatever you wanted to do. So we spent the day at the zoo in "Appyallis." You fell asleep on the way home, and when you woke up you wanted "chickens at Donalds." So that is exactly where we went! Of course your dinosaurs had to come too! After that we were off to your favorite retail establishment... Meijer! They have hamsters and lobsters, after all! Then we headed home for a homemade (read: Betty Crocker!) chocolate cake complete with a number 2 candle for you to blow out. It was a great day! I was glad you were able to completely enjoy your birthday with Mommy & Daddy! (and dinos!)

Whew!

Sorry for abandoning my blogging duties! I started a part time job last week (woohoo! LOL), and really haven't done a lot of scrapping. I have been working more on my contributions to a couple of team kits over at ScrapMommies. Keep an eye out for a fabulous weekend of fun for their 1st birthday!

For now, though, I wanted to share the sneak peek of tomorrow's (today's?) Special Edition!

Oh yeah! This was also inspired by my new Around the House challenge at ScrapMommies for August 16-31. That is where I got the colors and the circle theme. The kit (as always) is absolutely fabulous! So get over there and complete as many challenges as you can! Here is a preview of my challenge:

8-10 Special Edition free for all!!!

Thanks to a stranded husband, I didn't make my chat this afternoon! Rebecca was sweet enough to hand out my freebie to everyone, but as an "I'm sorry" to all of you who sat around waiting for me... and everyone else who frequents this fabulous site... I am going to give my attendance gift to everyone! I will keep the link active through the weekend. I will be posting the inspiration, along with my example layout. Make a layout using the inspiration and upload it to this gallery by midnight Sunday (using any kit you want!) and you will get the coordinating posting bonus!

journaling: We had gone to the Water Bowl earlier in the day, and you could not wait to get in the water! In the rush to get out there I forgot to put sunscreen on my back. And if that weren't enough, in my effort to keep the sunscreen out of your eyes, I didn't get it close enough to your eyes and you got a burn right under both eyes! I felt so awful! More because you had been burnt than from my own burn. Although that hurt plenty too!

Ack! Fire!

There was a fire in my building tonight! For those of you who don't know, I live in a townhouse, and the fire was just 4 units down from us in the same building. It was pretty freaky to see so many firetrucks, an ambulance, and a couple of police cars outside! Everything is fine... you could smell smoke in the apartment for a bit afterward, but it is all back to normal now. Thank God the fire department got here as quickly as they did! I know fires can spread quickly in apartment buildings. I was in full on panic mode! LOL! Once it all calmed down, and she was able to "calm" down her babydoll (too cute, btw), Madison loved it. She cheered for the firefighters and loved seeing the firetrucks. LOL... to be 2 again! She kept telling her baby "It's okay, it's okay. I got you." It was very very cute! I was in a CT chat at ScrapMommies when it happened, so I probably had them all worried! LOL, rather than just sign off I typed in "My building is on fire! I gotta go!" Sorry ladies! I was a little freaked!

Sandal Napper!

Hey! I have now officially gotten someone else hooked on digi-scrapping! Woohoo! A friend of mine from way back in the day has decided to give it a shot and is quickly becoming addicted! Her first work is so way better than my first work(s), it isn't even funny! If you see nosemoke out there in the digi community, tell her hey!

On to the layout...

journaling: Only in the car do you ever just fall asleep on your own. You are so good at entertaining yourself, so it was no surprise to see that while we sat in construction, you had removed your sandals and had put them on your hands. After all, what makes more noise to clap with than sandals? I noticed it had gotten quiet, though and I wondered why you weren't singing and clapping anymore. When I looked in my rearview mirror and saw you had fallen asleep with your sandals still on your hands I almost burst out laughing! Of course I didn't want to wake you, though, so I held it in. I did however, get out the camera and snap a photo! It was too funny not to!

Fabulous kit by Jessica Dixon!!

So it looked good in the preview, but it was even better once I got it unzipped! I just love this kit! I am sure I will use it again... if not the whole thing, the little pieces of it... doodle corners, doodle flowers, and circle / heart stitching especially! Love it! LOL... wanna see some layouts I did with it? Okay!

Oh yeah... if you wanna check it out for yourself, you can see it here at The Daily Scrap!

journaling: It was a breezy day, so we took Madison out by the slides to fly her Pooh kite. She was so excited about the idea of it, but once out there was more into the playground. When she saw Daddy by the "big kid" swings with the kite soaring in the air, she knew she had to go join him. She always knows what she wants, and will not hesitate to go after it. This day, Daddy brought her JOY

on the left: Find what brings you joy and go there.
